At present there are around 280 videos inside the course that range in length from 5 minutes to an hour.
Most students have jobs / businesses / families and it take at least 6 weeks to go through the entire Academy. As we’ve seen with a number of driven students, the Academy modules can be completed in as little as 7 days if you work through the course materials full-time.
The Academy is an online, self-paced learning environment...this means we don't put ANY pressure on you in terms of when you need to complete the course by (and you can revisit the modules and lessons as many times as you like). It is vital you don't put yourself under 'negative pressure' to complete the course and start your Amazon journey. We recommend you go at a pace which is right for you to be able to implement what you learn in the Academy in order to stand the best chance of building an Amazon business over the long-term.
As we've said from day 1...building an Amazon business is a marathon (not a sprint).
It is also important to remember that once you've completed the course, identifying potentially suitable products involves significant time, effort and research. Once a product is identified correctly, you should monitor the sales of similar products on Amazon using software we tell you about in the program. This is done over a bare minimum of a 4 - 6 week period.
If the monitoring of your products appears to indicate a possible opportunity, you then begin finding suppliers and sourcing samples. That can take at least another 2-6 months, due to you finding exactly what you want that is good quality and at a commercially feasible price.
Then you have to order your product samples, then place your first actual inventory order, have it made and then get it shipped to the US.
Taking all of the above into consideration it will likely be at least 9-12 months before your first product is up and listed for sale provided you've been taking consistent action (longer if you haven't), let alone making a profit.
We suggest to students to plan on laying the foundations of establishing their Amazon business on the side during year one, and year two will be the first year that they may start to make sales (if they've taken consistent action and dealt with ALL the set-backs that come with building any business).
As we've highlighted from the outset, this is a real business with real costs and real challenges. It takes time, money, effort and lots of persistence. So it is only in year 3 onwards where a student may expect to start seeing reliable income. If this length of time doesn't work for you then this isn't the program for you.
This does seem like a long time to some people that are new to business, however, with inventory businesses they require capital to grow. Adam and many of his friends who have more substantial Amazon businesses did not take any money out of their Amazon business until they surpassed a million dollars a year in gross sales. Up to that point they continually reinvested their profits into adding more products to sure-up their income base. We teach this strategy in the course, which is why if you join us you acknowledge this is a business that is built progressively on the side (whilst maintaining your existing cash-flow streams from existing sources).
On average we would suggest spending 7-10 hours a week (ideally more) until your product is fully live and making sales on Amazon. Then once it is live with stable sales and readily available product supply (based on Adams own experience with his Amazon business) about 2-4 hours a week. More time can be spent once live on researching new products and expanding your Amazon business....that's a business decision for you.
Further, if you're looking for a "silver bullet", "sure thing" or "overnight success" then this is not the program for you. Better you know now than be disappointed later.
We would encourage you to look very closely at anyone who says that you can start an Amazon business and be making reliable, time leveraged money quickly. This isn't a get-rich-quick process if you want a sustainable reliable income. If that doesn't work for you then this isn't the program for you and we respectfully ask that you do not apply to join us.
If you are willing to put in the time, capital and work to building a little Amazon business on the side then we look forward to welcoming you aboard when the time is right.
